President’s message

There is still no word of when we can reopen.

Many changes must occur and start up will come at a substantial cost. When this comes about we will be having a grand reopening.  Details to come.

The executive has been communicating.  We had a virtual executive meeting on May 20, 2020.

Some of the building improvements will be done shortly.

I hope everyone is well and maintaining social distancing.

Missing you All!

Stay Safe,

Our fundraising for Branch Renovations continues to gain support

At the County of Brant Council meeting last week, Council approved a grant in the amount of $16,100 to Branch 29 to facilitate our accessibility renovations.

We thank the County for their continued support of Branch 29 here in Paris.

This grant will allow us to move forward with renovations as soon as we can call a General Meeting for the approval of the expenditures from the Renovation Funds.

If you know a member of Council please extend your thanks as a Veteran or Member of Branch 29, they would appreciate your acknowledgement.

We have applied for a building permit, quotes have been received and we are now considering the construction phase.

We will continue our Fund Raising activities throughout the year.

Again, Thank You to the County of Brant for this very sizable contribution to our Renovation Fund.

Stay well, all the best in these difficult times.

Roy Haggart, Branch 29 Legion Building Renovation Campaign Chairman

Golf tournament
At this time, it is uncertain whether the golf tournament will take place on Saturday, September 12. Burford Golf Links has not been given the go-ahead by the government to hold tournaments,
The tournament committee would like to wait until the end of the June to make a decision, so that there would still be time to collect prizes and sponsorships.
If there is an update before that time, we will notify the Legion members, via email.
