President’s Message

We are open Thursday 3 – 7, Friday 12 – 7, Saturday 12 – 7 and Sunday 12 – 5 p.m.

Remembrance Day was successful with quite a large number coming out. Some protocols, but on the whole it worked out. Our poppy program went well.

Saturday, November 20, we had “No Road Back” which was a fund raiser for Cancer. Many musicians donated their time. The total of Funds tally is approximately $3000.00 with the sale of T-shirts, food sales and many donations, it was a great success.

Saturday, November 27th , was our 300 Club Elimination Draw. All proceeds go to Christmas Hampers.

In the new year, hopefully, we can start doing more promotion which will depend on COVID-19 protocols.

Plans are in the works for a New Year’s Eve Gala. First time in a couple of years.

Sadly, we lost some long-term members this past month – LeRoy Clarke, Jack Bawcutt, and Pansy Allison. Our condolences to their families.

We are still looking for a Public Relations Officer and a House Chair. If you are interested, please contact me.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best during the holidays and into the New Year.

From the Ways and Means Chair

Hello everyone,

I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year. Stay healthy and hope to see everyone out in the coming year.

We just finished a Cancer Benefit and $2,500+ was raised to provide rides to hospital appointments in Hamilton for cancer patients. All money raised goes to Paris residents. The event was well attended throughout the day. All safety precautions were taken.

We are planning a small New Year’s Eve party. It will be for only fully vaccinated individuals. If you have an exemption letter that would also be accepted. Details are still in the works.

We have had a trying two years now. I would like everyone know that starting in January we will be starting up events again.
