President’s message
Hello,
First and foremost I would like to thank all the members who took the time out of their busy schedules, to attend our General Meeting. We also held our bi-annual elections. I was elected president for two more years. Unlike last year I had to run against Roy Haggart.
I would like to thank Roy for running for President, as it shows how much he cares about our branch. I would like to thank Jim Gyselinck for standing and being elected 1st Vice again. Roy was elected as the 2nd Vice. Helen Banks was re-elected to branch Secretary. Rick Cudmore was elected to be our Treasurer. I greatly appreciate them for stepping up. I would also like to thank the 11 people that came forward to help run the branch. I am in the process of finding out what position, all 13, would like to assist the branch moving forward.
Thanks to Jim Wreaks for your work over the last year.
Lastly, I would like to thank Geoff Adeney who has been our treasurer for many years. We have valued all the hard work you have put into our branch.
We had a hard month, financially, last month due to our cooler compressor going down. With all the new volunteers that were elected we know we can turn that around.
We are still doing food on Friday nights 5-7. Come out and have something to eat every week there will be something different.
BBQ’s will be starting up on June 3rd. We can always use more volunteers to help out at this event. Please reach out if you would like to help out.
Our 300 Club tickets are going well. The early bird draw will be held on May 6th. The prize is $200. So drop by the branch and get your ticket. All proceeds from the draw will go to youth sports in our town.
I hope you all have a great month of May.
Regards
Donald MacLeod
President

From the 29er Diner and the Kitchen
The 29er Diner and Kitchen upstairs have been very busy over the past month. Our Friday night dinners continue to be successful. The upstairs kitchen was busy too, as there were a few luncheons for different events.
If anyone has an idea of what they would like on a Friday please let me know via email. We take reservations and take our orders. I am so grateful for the volunteers that we have. They give their all and we would not be successful without them.
If you would like to help volunteer please send me an email and we can get you on board.
This Friday, April 28th we are having fresh wings – not coated and fries.
And on the 5th of May we are having Fish and Chips. Come on out on a Friday and enjoy good people, lots of laughs and good food.
That’s it for now, til next month, see you at the Branch.
