Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. We have a few events coming up in  April.

The St. Paddy’s Day party was a huge success. Thanks to Andy for making his corned beef. Also thanks to all who helped out at the event. Without Volunteers we would not be able to run events.

Saturday, March 30. 9-Ball Pool Tournament. Registration at 11.30 a.m.

Saturday, April 20th. 300 Club Early Bird Draw. There are less than 40 tickets left, so drop by the branch to get yours soon before they are gone.

Wednesday, April 17, 7:30 p.m. General Meeting. We will be presenting our Bylaw changes. Under the rules, we must hand out the bylaws and note any changes. The last time they were changed was 2014, so a lot has changed and command wanted us to update them. There will not be any discussion on the changes. We will need to have a special General Meeting in May, within 30 days of our handing them out. I will update you on the exact date in next months newsletter. I am hopeful we get a lot of our members out.

Friday, April 26th. Trivia.

Friday Dinners. Are slowing down. This is do to a lack of cooks. If you would like to help one Friday a month we can use your help. We will provide training on any of our equipment.

Our 100th anniversary is coming up next year on November 8th, 2025. We are looking to set up a committee to organize events leading up to that day. If you would like to help on the committee please reach out to the branch or myself.

I wish everyone a happy and safe April. Again, I hope to see you all on the 17th.

Regards
Donald MacLeod

Saturday, Summer BBQ’s

We are in discussions in respect to the Saturday Summer BBQ’s.

This was a very successful event at the Branch over the last few years, Music, food, and fun.

We have openings on our BBQ Team for a Co-ordinator and 2 or 3 volunteers to manage the event weekly.

As BBQ Team Members you will organize volunteers, purchase supplies, ensure the BBQ area is safe for patrons.

If you have an interest in helping the Branch continue this event, please contact Roy Haggart. royhaggart@rogers.com.

Thank you,
Roy
