The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 29, Welcomes You !

The Legion is a community service organization as well as an active social club. Our branch has a licensed lounge as well as dart, pool and cribbage leagues. We regularly have barbecues, yearly summer and winter golf tournaments, car rallies and poker runs. We also support local organizations such as the food bank.

Did you know that the Legion is open to everyone? You don’t need to be a member to visit or enjoy the many events and activities happening at our Branch. Whether you’re looking for a place to meet friends, enjoy a social event or simply explore what our Legion has to offer, our doors are open! We’re a welcoming space for the whole community, supporting our Veterans, our Youth, and our Community. Come by and see what we’re all about. Whether You’re here for a quick visit or to join us in support of a great cause, you’re always welcome at Branch 29 Legion 70 William St. Paris Ont.

Ken O’Neill

O’NEILL, Joseph Kenneth “Ken“ – Surrounded by the love of his family and his Davis Court Family, Ken O’Neill passed away at the John Noble Home on Saturday April 7, 2012 in his 86th year. Predeceased by his wife Mary Elizabeth O’Neill (2010). Beloved father of Tina Stickle and her husband Gary, Brantford and Laurie O’Neill, Paris. Cherished grandfather of Michael O’Neill, Brooke, Scott and Luke Emerson, Ryan, Christopher, Kristal, Brittaneigh and Joshua Stickle and great grandfather of Taylor, Morrigan, Karson and Mya. Ken is survived by his sisters Margaret and Betty in England and was predeceased by his four brothers. Dearly missed by Paul and Brenda Emerson. Ken retired from the Willett Hospital. In retirement Kenny didn’t do “a dam thing!“ Ken will be remembered as the guy who gave out quarters, paper airplanes and for having too many accidents on his bicycle. Ken was a 60 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #29 in Paris.

Bob DeLaronde

DeLARONDE, Robert E. “Bob“ – Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday April 4, 2012, a longtime resident of Paris, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband to the late Norma (nee Douglas -2009); loved dad to Doug (Brigitte) of Paris, and Deana (Marty Piovesand) of Calgary; cherished granddad to Robert (Carolyn), Stephanie, Nicholas, and Staci (John). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date and will be announced in a future edition of the Expositor.

Bill Maslin

MASLIN, William S. (Bill) – At Brantford General Hospital, on Thursday December 28, 2006, of Paris, in his 77th year. Beloved husband to the late Peggy (2003); loved father to Chris and his wife Diane; cherished grandfather to Emma and Thomas; dear brother to Joan Brown, Pat Miller (Bob), and Ivy Cusmans, all of England. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bill was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29, Paris. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the WM. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Tuesday January 2, 2007, at 3:00 pm with Rev. George Elson officiating, a legion service under auspice Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29 will be held with the memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations to Brantford General Hospital would be appreciated. Online condolences or donations may be arranged through www.wmkippfuneralhome.com or by contacting Wm.
